Ha! We had people stop shooting and gather behind us when my brother and I were touching off my Garand and Carbine together. It was pretty impressive from what I am told.

The bores can fool you until you get them cleaned up. Seen that over and over. Very nice carbine you have. I was afraidvthat it was a bit sewer pipey until i got home and dumped some windex down it. I checked them all again today to make sure i wasnt getting corrosion and the carbine is still a mir...

Shot this thing yesterday, and I thought it had the worst bore of all of my milsurps, it came out looking like glass. All my others are nice dark bores, this one is a shiny mirror. I am stoked! :grin:

If you want to play, you have to pay. I know a collector with a correct M1D and doing a SCAR build up( Leopold scope, larue, harris etc.) and has 4k in each. It's a matter of what you want and if your willing to pay for it. :) To be fair it takes a gun and optic to get 4k into a SCAR. Buddy just bo...

I agree we manufactory high quality firearms especially back in WWI/WWII, however now they are 70 -100 years old I have to believe the dealers and Private Citizens who sell them are motivated by the bottom line, profit :!: It's the same old story "supply and demand" and greed :brolleyes: ...

Honestly, I can't say I'd really like to find out, but given that a round like that can generate in excess of 22,000 psi (if I remember correctly) and depending on what actually breaks and how, at the very least ...
