Re: Acquired a K31

Nice rifle, but owners name label isn't original anymore (the original ones are in pencil) Have never seen an original one in pen writing.

Re: k98 Mauser 337/1940

It's a nice code, but your's has been reblued. I have had a few 337 from 1940 but they never where that blue color. If you're willing to buy all original, i would pass. Just for shooting or to make something complete (1 rifle of every maker, or something like that) i would buy it, if the price is ri...

Re: How to tell if it's a legit pem rifle

Thanks for all the information. I'm not going to drill the plugs out, keeping as is. Just nice to have an original PEM rifle even with plugs in it and the original mount with scope next to it.

Re: How to tell if it's a legit pem rifle

OK thanks

Did anyone ever imported or exported a rifle to europe from the US? Here you can't find any ex snipers it seems. I have an original mount but no receiver to mount it. So if anyone has one for sale (ex-pem sniper) I'm intrested.

Thanks again

Re: 1943 bnz K98k with Rune

Germans where very secure on their rifles, an ss-rune going to the maker code is impossible to be original...

Re: 1943 bnz K98k with Rune

Just checked with my bnz rifle, this is a complete fake.

Not sure what you are going to trade in, but this k98 is just a shooter not a collectable rifle.

Re: 1943 bnz K98k with Rune

It's a fake SS-rune, should be right in the middle between Maker code and year.
Seems to be forced made to match

I have many k98 and a few with SS rune but none with the SS rune like this. Also the front band nummer looks strange

Re: Italian Carcano 91/28 ts

I have no idea... Italian people are in fact the only one's who buy them here. But they always have troubles to get them in their country.

I also have a few pieces but ammo is expensive. So we reload them :D

Re: Found 2 Mausers, both messed with?

Both not good, maybe good shooters? All depends on the price. The BCD is in my opion not worth 200$, reblued for sure. the 30.06 is also a combined piece, possibly a remaining part build. If the bore is good on the 30.06 and price is good just use it as a shooter. For collection a BIG NO in my eyes.

Re: What do you think of these??

Stock is a modern one, not original! Also it's a put together many different date parts are on the stock.
To date it: check underside barrel for a number, check the waa-stamps if any remains.

Hope you didn't pay to much, it's propably good as a shooter!
