Hey,

I have a k98 Mauser in my sights.. and I was wondering how rare a 337/1940 combination is?

It's a nice code, but your's has been reblued. I have had a few 337 from 1940 but they never where that blue color.
If you're willing to buy all original, i would pass. Just for shooting or to make something complete (1 rifle of every maker, or something like that) i would buy it, if the price is right.

Its a desirable code and a very desirable model, question is what's the overall condition of this example, is it worth adding and is the price right?

More pictures of the finish are needed.

Also, how much of it matches? Bolt mismatch? Mismatch stock?

Definitely one I would consider after checking it out.

I am no authority on Mausers, but I do know that sometimes when in a country that has restrictions on gun ownership you have to make choices that may differ from other areas where there is more available. If the price is ok I would like this one. Is this rifle de-activated? I meant to welcome you to the forum when you were asking about the sniper rifles. I just realized I forgot so I want to welcome you, and enjoy your participation. :P

Not sure of the price though based on the condition and description so far for me this would be a buy
