cleaning rod

Post by kermit »

T-53 don't come with cleaning rod, maybe. some suppliers say M-44 and T-53 are same, but another guy that has some of both say T-53 is 1/2" shorter than M-44 and has no knurling on head of rod. does anyone know? i can get M-44/T-53 rods for $10 each and have ordered 2 of them. liberty tree is out as i was going to get them there. what is the real scoop??

Type 53 has it's own rod, and if I recall it is slightly shorter and otherwise as you describe. If you find a real type 53 rod that would be a good find.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
