Dog announces new visitor

Post by SA1911a1 »

I am sitting here playing on the computer when old Stella Dog goes wild barking. An hour before sunset, I look out the window and there is a big-assed coyote strolling across the yard. It was my inclination to grab the scoped '06 and dispatch the critter, but by the time I broke it out, the critter was between my house and my nearest neighbor and I didn't want to send a ricochet their way.

The dog had been laying on the floor snoozing when she jumped up on the window; how she knew the coyote was out there is beyond me. The Coyote heard her barking like hell, but it didn't seem to bother him. Old Wiley got a pass this time but I am now ready for a repeat visit.

Stella Dog just earned her "way" for this week.

Great "skill" to have in a dog.

You got chickens it's after? We have coyotes in the area but none venture near my place, I have two fox's instead, and a bobcat. They love tripping my security cameras just to fuck with me.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.
