As with every firearm I get the first thing I did was completely disassemble and clean it.
The stock was nice and clean (looks like cos never touched it) But I definitely wouldn't say this rifle was "cleaned" before hand, at least not very well at all, maybe wiped down at best . I always forget how much I really truly love the joys of cosmoline until I am wrist deep. :Drool1:

Getting a gun that isn't all gunked up just isn't as much fun. If it's loaded with Cosmo you get the feeling you are the first person touching it in years and no one has futzed around with it.

Probably about as decent as they will ever be again.

Seems to be the going rate. They probably won't get any cheaper.

Took a chance and made the investment, ordered a late date.

Got a 1967 dated barrel plugged into a 1905 Tula hex receiver, looks like it may be unissued.

Looks like it's seen very little use, crown is mint, lands are sharp, and the bore is mirror-bright:

Imperial Eagle and Cyrillic PK "Probaya Komissiya" stamp on receiver:

Coolest part is the plum colored rear sight tangent and leaf spring:

I also ordered one, B barrel, unissued with hang tag. Mine has a little dig in it but other then that, it looks unused. Now about the hang tag!!! oh mine has a hang tag all right. It's a hang tag with just your normal firearms safety warnings. Calling classic tomorrow about the hang tag.

Congratulations - you got a really nice one and a quite low number, too (they started at just 300000).
Just to be curious - does the magazine floorplate number match those on bolt and receiver?

How long did it take you guys to get yours? I ordered mine on the 11th and it hasn't shipped yet.

About 7-8 business days for shipment on mine but that was during the holidays.

They finally shipped it. I'll get them Wednesday hopefully if they drop them off before the place closes. Can't wait
