Finally added a Finnish Civil Guard M28 to my collection

Post by kpangon »

I've been bidding on and losing M28's on gunbroker for a while now. I put a bid on this one, and fully expected it to go for more than my bid. To my surprise, it didn't and I got it for $770. I don't think its a bad deal, considering most M39's on these have been going for $800-$1000 these days. Its got a Tikka produced barrel and is "SY" marked, and also made on a Remington receiver. The bore looks brand new, though I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet. Anyway, on to the photos:

According to indices I have gathered, this is one of the rifles that once belonged to Luumäki Civil Guard at Viipuri Civil Guard District.

That is a nice M28. Mine is nice, but not anything like yours.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.
