Teachers on Summer Break

Post by Historyfan »

My Mrs. and I on the far right with some of our fellow Teachers. Great day at the Range. I supplied all the rifles in the picture except the .308 Savage the young lady is holding.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Wish we could still have a Rifle Team like we had when I was in school. I'm afraid those days are long gone.

A couple of years ago at my private school, we had WW2 day where we could show and tell artifacts. Of course I brought in a couple of Mosins (minus bolts) and passed them around, the kids really enjoyed it.

Frankly, I think that gun safety classes should be taught in every school district and class attendance required. That's real gun safety in action.

A couple of years ago one of our History teachers was going through the unit on WWII..which is only a one class period lesson in this day and age.. :vsad: One of this teacher's students said her dad had a WWII Mauser and asked to bring it to show the class. This teacher thought a Mauser was the old style German helmet with the spike on top and said "sure". When that K98 showed up..."Oh the Humanity" :D :D Thought they would close us down. :D
