Re: Woke up this morning and it was 62 degrees

After a -8°F on Friday it was a Blistering +1°F overnight, time to break out the 30spf sunblock and get the pool ready. 🙄 The best part of today is going to be when my SIL & her husband arrive from Orlando. He swore he would never return to the cold again, and he considers 50°F cold. 🤣 That is ...

Re: Woke up this morning and it was 62 degrees

51. hard rain and high wind this morning, but I am told the deep freeze is on the way for the weekend and the months to follow. No talking about piss while I'm trying to drink my tea. It is on its way, 44° in Hoosierville last night at 7pm, -8°F this AM, wind chill -36°F , 5" snow, 30+ mph sus...

Re: New user, new PU authenticity check :)

Unfortunately it isn't import marked as it is in Europe, so never entered the US ☹️ So I assume you are not trying to aquire this rifle? I am interested in acquiring it. I am based in Europe. Ok, is this auction close by? Sometimes Auction Houses have previews a few days before for in person viewin...

Re: New user, new PU authenticity check :)

Ok the bad 1st, as stated the pics they are giving you are not very good. Now the good, barreled action appears to be legit, the scope mount is legit and looks to be an izhevsk by the tooling marks on the backside. The scope is an original, just not original to this rifle. Now the possibly good but ...

Re: New User Needs Help Identifying PU Sniper!

Is it legit?, well all the parts are, but my phone doesn't allow enough detail to say 100% it is a legit sniper, that and the gallon of gun oil they wiped it down with.

That said $2400.00 is a bit steep for a legit 44 Izhevsk PU with an arsenal replaced scope in todays market

Re: And then there was 2

Some did Darryl, some didn't. There are now 4 of these PU's in the US that we know of, PGA has one, and DaSwede (gboards)has the other. The other 3 are all Russian matching except the scopes, which are also Russian. This one is like my M44 though that it is a mixture of Russian action and some small...

Re: And then there was 2

Found it on Gunbroker, had to wait a week for it to run its course. Only one other late bidder who might have been thinking it was a "Nam bring back" which the seller eluded to. (No I dont think it is) Bad pics probably cost the seller as the Kossuth Crest was not very visible at a glance ...

Re: GERD / Acid Reflux

Wife had gastric reflux like you described, took her doctor about 6 months to find the right brand of meds to work on her. Then a year latter her insurance quit covering her prescribed meds and switched to a "comparable" generic which didn't work at all. So she tried my Walgreens otc pills...

Great find, I have a couple and in a side mount configuration it was probably the best sniper rifle of WW2 with the PU a close 2nd.

Re: My 1942 PU

I can't confirm it ever was a sniper or ex- sniper as the barrel shank pics are not clear enough, but the stock is chemically cleaned and sanded, the scope, mount, and base are reproductions, and the bolt looks "off"

Re: Fake sniper for real money? Or I’m missing something?

IMHO that is a reproduction PU, of the same variety that came out of the Ukraine about 12/18 months ago. Would love to see if the rear sight is pinned at 300m
