Yep, that's a "real" PU sniper! Down to it's toes!

PU snipers are not about how well they will shoot (they don't)...they are totally about history! That one has tons of history!

SVT scope on it. (once on a SVT40 sniper) and made by Kazan Optical Mechanical Factory. Harder to find scope on it. Nice!

Nice looking one also. Congratulations! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

When you take it apart. Look under the hand guard and see if there is a serial # under it written in pencil. Let me know please.

I have notice many of the matching serial numbers and matching scope numbered rifles have the pencil marks under the handguard, but not all.

Just curious.

Only theroy. It seems to be on any PU sniper (refurbished as most are) and that has both matching serial numbers (forced matched bolts)and matching scope numbers.

It sort of tells me they kept all the parts together on the rifle when it was refurbished, except bolt (and bolt parts), and bands. Seeing as all the bolts were mixed and forced matched on the serial numbers and the bands which really don't matter one way or another. but everything else is part of the original sniper rifle. Note: they may have keep the bands with the same rifle also, because if it is all matching, the bands usually have the correct arsenal marks also, but no way of really knowing for sure.

Just an oddity. And well worth noting. Most of these refurbished PU snipers don't have matching everything. A scope could have been changed and the old scope number lined out or ground off and a new number stamped in during refurb. And some of them they didn't even bother to renumber the barrel with the new scope number. All are typical of the refurbished PU's.

Tulas are extremely rare with a scope number on the side of the barrel. That is why I question these new ones form AIM. They have scope numbers on the side of the barrels on the Tula rifles. That is very odd and not likely. More likely put on by someone making these up and not knowing that little fact about Tulas.

BRITT,

Can you open your bolt up and take a really close up and clear photo of the inside of the bend? I'll show you something else.
