I recently acquired an 1895 Nagant revolver (dated 1944) and was wondering which lanyard is correct for WW2. I've seen all leather straps and combo leather and cotton(?) rope lanyards. Is one or the other correct for WW2? Are both correct but one for officers and one for enlisted? If anyone has more knowledge of these than me (and that would be just about everyone) I would appreciate some input.
Thanks,
Bob
