Just thought I'd share my last 2 purchases.

Top is a October 1918 dated Eddystone . ITs really quite clean for its age and has a good bore.

Bottom is an April 1943 dated Remington 1903A3 . Also quite clean for its age but obvious patina on the metalwork. Bore is also quite good.
The 1903A3 came with some bits and pieces including some M2 Ball and some factory boxed dummy rounds which I had not seen before (keeping in mind i'm in Australia).

Two nice rifles, I am surprised you were able to find these in Australia, I would have expected to see the pattern 1914 rifle. US M2 ball also, that's been getting harder to find here, I scored a couple thousand rounds two years ago. That was the first I had seen in several years or more. I heavily collected these rifles 20-30 years back along with other US rifles 1865-1957.

Had a great morning shooting the 03A3 today.
Reloads using LC brass and 144gn ADI FMJ projectiles went really well. I’ll attach a group I shot at 100 and was hitting a steel plate at 300 meters every shot, using the 350yd sight setting . I love this rifle!!

Something about old military surplus rifles really just makes my day.
Yours are look exceptionally well cared for, I’ve told my son and grandsons that they are a labor of love.
