Friend of mine gave me a Redding single stage press to go along with the Lee Challenger that I just got, and asked if I could reload some .243 for him as it's his rifle of choice usually but ammunition is expensive. He managed to collect 5 cases

I cannot find any brass for .243 but found that .308 brass can be converted. He has piles of .308 brass however. I was just going to cook up a basic medium velocity load out of the Lee manual for 80gr for him, give him 5 to try and then run 50 if they work. The use of BLC-2 only goes to 80gr but that is the only powder I have

I resized some 30-30 down to 25-35 for my old 94 Win. I neck size my brass with original size dies and decap before I start resizing. Take the decap pin out of your 243 die, this allows you to take a q-tip and cleanup any lube buildup. Keeps wrinkled shoulders from happening. My favorite load is a 80 grain bullet over IMR4320. Good luck with your loads.
