Picked up this Cal .30 M1, a Springfield Armory 1955 model, Collector's Grade from the Civilian Marksmanship Program. She's a real beauty.

I realy like this one, and I would still like to acquire one sometime soon. The only beef I have is the lack of affordable ammo for these. There is no excuse for a US round that is that popular to not be available in affordable quantities that are loaded to proper specs for the Garand action. Definitely a candidate for reloading.

This is my rifle, there are many like it but THIS ONE IS MINE! You right, the most beautiful Garand in the world is the one you own yourself :) I love the Garand, and it will be a tossup should the day of days come to see if I grab my M14 or my Garand, both stand ready with their respective ammo to serve at a moments notice. Very nice M1, may it serve you well :)
