Dutch Beaumont

I was at the pawn shop and there was a Dutch Beaumont 1878 (71/78) for 500 bucks. It was in okay condition but had a little bit of crusty rust in the bore.
Wondering if I should pick it up.

If the overall gun is in good condition I might buy it knowing it would most likely be a wall hanger. I wouldn't let the bore bother me that much as you are not going to find any 11.4×51mm ammo anyway unless you have the know-how to make your own. We have one hanging from the ceiling at the shop, they are nice looking.

I have one stashed away, cool piece of history. Most post 1860's military black powder cartridge rifles in good condition will run 500 or more. Many of them much more.
