40/60 body solder lead and Linotype

Post by Junk Yard Dog »

Bars of marked 40/60 body solder lead, and printing linotype, 16.7 pounds. Body solder is not easy to find, or cheap, it is rarely used for body work anymore, but is used to make hard cast bullets. Linotype is used to harden soft lead for use in making higher velocity cast bullets, yes, linotype will melt in your electric casting furnace. Linotype is used, or was used in the printing industry. Current eBay pricing has 40/60 at 5 pounds for $80, lino is even more expensive. One USPS flat rate box with mostly 40/60 bars, maybe 30% is linotype, $150 for the box, plus $7.80 shipping. The pictures show some regular solder wire, that is not included, different stuff. Paypal accepted.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
