Screw that.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

No, I can say with absolute certainty that I do not envy you at all.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

That amount of snow you show in that picture would have caused the state of Ohio to come to a complete stop and caused panic from the officials.

After all was said and done we ended up with about 10-11 inches. The highway westbound was shut down for about six hours due to 3 big rigs deciding they all wanted to occupy the same space at the same time. :beek: No one was hurt tho.

Still mid-50s for lows here, and glad that it has gotten that cool. I wore a sweatshirt with my shorts this morning... In a few weeks, I may need to go back to jeans.

Holy smokes we are having some weird weather. Last week it was cold.. Cold enough to put 2-3 inches of ice on the lake.

But the last few days have been extremely warm for this time of year. Today it got up to 19C which is about 66F...

All the snow in town is gone but it's not looking good for next week.. Back to daytime highs below the freezing mark. :vsad:

Well I guess we have to enjoy this nice weather while we can.

I've had many dogs chase my snowplow in slop like that only to get buried in a snow wave.

Bad enough the wife and I are at odds with the thermostat. She turned the AC off and turned the heat on because it was down to 46 degrees outside and 59 inside when she got up at 0500.

I came out of the room at 1030, bitching about how damn hot it was and asking is the damn AC was broke. 68 outside right now, I'm in shorts and a t-shirt and still sweating.......

We get weather like that and she'll roast me with the heater.........

28 here last nite, the first killing frost. Now many leaves will fall. The new Oak grove monster will polish his horns and seek a harem or two. I'll be watching :shifty:
