Range Trip

Post by Burrhead »

Went to Williams Gun Sight to shoot today. I took the CZ52, and my S&W 586 357 Mag. The CZ was shot with my first hand loads for the gun and did OK. I good extraction but was having problems with the gun feeding properly. I think I may need to shorten the over all length some and try and roll the rim in more. I am purchasing a Lee factory crimp die for this reason. As for the 357 I shot this with plated and jacketed 158 grin bullets. The jacketed load was setup for my Ruger Security Six and they are near max loads so I had some stiff extraction but other wise did pretty good. If I get a chance I'll scan the target in and post them as well. I had a pretty good time and wished I'd brought a rifle with me it was nicer than I had thought it would be weather wise.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Nice job Burrhead, sounds like fun. I made it out to Cabela's today, but that was about it. It was gorgeous here, but the ground is damn near a swamp with all the thawing. Nice report!
