My previous thoughts that red dots with a small moa were what you needed for hair splitting. New thought: Why not use a12 o'clock hold on top of the dot. Too soon old to late smart.

There are 'red dot' sights that have a chevron that you sight in that way. It would work, but still not precise. For that you need a proper reticle.
