A century has past. Show off your 1917 Mosins.
100 years later, honor these old rifle by showing them off here.
I only have a couple from 1917,
A Remington M91. Typical Finnish rifle, battle scars, repairs and some tlc.
The other is a Sestroryetsk wearing a recycled Sestroryetsk 1901 receiver and an Austro-Hungarian stock. It came from Finland but they didn't do too much to it, all they did was to [SA] mark it. They didn't even mark the sight base with metric marks.

I've owned a few Sestroryetsk 1917's, still have 25602 which is my favorite because it is built on an 1894 Chatellerault receiver.
As for 1917 dated M91 Mosin-Nagant's, here is a quick data break down:
Sestroryetsk: high serial 117972, known examples 70
Tula: high serial 476333, known examples 58
Izhevsk: high serial 296817, known examples 2 (yes, 2!)
Remington: high serial 890445, known examples 189

I've got more than I thought I did...
This Finn Remington is fully matching even the contract stock but I think the bolt is Finn matched... Weird Ex Dragoon in an Albanian stock... Have to include the Bannerman... This is my favorite 1917... If anyone has a front hand guard nose cap, I am interested.

The only 1917 Mosin I've got was made by Remington. The bore on it was a clogged sewage pipe when I bought it but it has cleaned up really well and has turned into a respectable shooter.
The only other firearm I own that is a 1917 is my SSA Enfield No 1 Mk III.

Well my whole rifle isn't from 1917, but the receiver is!
The rest is 1926, but it still has the eagle!
I know it's not all from 1917, but the rifle's getting up there. Still shoots straight as an arrow!

Here is another Finned Remington. It also has the remains of the original wood cross bolt.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Another Finn Remington. All matching bolt and mag and butt plate. But, all in a Finn stock

How about a 1917 French Berthier Carbine as well. It's a Chatellerault, which is a Mosin maker too.

I figured the Remingtons and Sestroryetsk would make an appearance here.
The Izhevsk ex dragoon is great. Surprised there aren't more Izhevsk or Tulas posted.
1917 isn't that rare is it?

Beautiful Remington, redspoon!

Here is my 1917 Finned via Austria M91. No SA, but has the crossed-out Austrian sight numbers and Finn numbers with "D" stamp.

I'll start with my Remington Mixmaster.
Not that one, it is not even a Remington.
This one has parts from all the arsenals, NEW, Chatellerault, Tula, Izhevsk and Sestroryetsk. It came from Finland with an interesting stock and missing stock disc. It is even on a different receiver - a 1913 Izhevsk.

This one is a redated 1917 Izhevsk with sling swivel plugs and some trench art. It has nice markings of the Tsar's and date on the buttstock end.

Re: A century has past. Show off your 1917 Mosins.
My last one of 1917 is a Sestroryetsk with no special features except for a stamped bolt knob which is not that unusual from a Finned one and an odd cutout at the cleaning rod. The wood looks different in the last two photos because it was taken at a later date with different lighting.

Some beauties, Neal! The stock on your mixmaster is gorgeous and that Izhevsk is not easy to come by. I didn't realize you and qz2026 collected anything besides 91/38's.
