91/12

Post by desdem12 »

Been busy lately and new fone. But was able to get a quicky restore in. Decent bore and good outside condition. Still need to fabricate handguard. Has a sig replacement barrel.

Nice. A Peruvian example. Still in need of one, myself!

So the serial on the receiver falls in the known block sent to peru and the barrel is a new(er) sig replacement barrel as witnessed by the SJG mark haf above the woodline. This has the updated front spritzer sight also. So no number was apparently reapplied on the new barrels. The uncommonality of this led me to restore it, not to mention the cheap price and I had some parts around. If anyone has any argentine parts I am in need. If you have a full rifle with torched barrel I am interested in it if full stocked.

Ah,you got out of the garden ..
Yes the S serial number would place it at the end of the Argentine contract, the marks on those can be hard to see with the buffing that was done during the refinishing process.
Good Luck with the parts.
Nice One!

Nice

These are hard to come by especially with the crest intact. The stamping on mine is a little more scrubbed than yours but, it's there. :vcool: :vcool:
