US marked Ross MKII

Post by Cj556 »

I have been searching for a Ross for five years now. I recently found one of these on the internet thru a Wtb ad I put up and the photos are the ones the seller took. It is US property marked and was used to train US troops in WWI to free up 03s and 1917s. The MKII was not the Model with the blow up issues that was the MKIII. This is a neat gun though and I will have to find a MKIII at some point.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.

Be careful with the III when you find one, that one was dangerous. The III and it's dubious reputation went a long way toward the anti straight pull attitude that lingers among US shooters to this day.

Nice to see the full set of stock markings. Many have been diminished.

The US Surcharged is still on my wishlist. Hard to find! Good show, sir.
No words of wisdom come to mind at this time....

Yes thank you. I hope to find a MKIII as nice as yours sometime. This disease is never ending.
