Won it on Gun Broker for $255 with all the stuff. His buy it now was $450 and it looks sweet. The auction ended Sunday morning at 7:45, bad timing. I hope its as sweet as it looks. If I knew how to use GB photos you would see it now. Once the cosmo recedes I hope you guys are impressed. I am really stoked over this one,

What's wrong with Sunday morning? If I want it bad enough it can end at 3:22 am Tuesday morning and I will be there with my finger over the bid button. Nice catch.

Well now that is sure a possibility. I am looking forward to seeing it.

The 91/30 hex has matching numbers including the bayonet, the bolt looks unfired and has a 2 on the handle shank,it has refurb marks and under the wood is some blued over small pits, the bore is brite no pits, the reciever shank has a bar over 28, The butt plate seems new, the marks on the stock you tell me, I see a hammer and the other triangles etc. How much is correct? I don't guess you could call this a dragoon?

Post a pic of the dovetail under the rear of the rear sight. I also have a 1928 five line Tula and it doesn't have
the recess like the ex dragoons have. Congrats on the rifle, the five line Tula is my favorite marking on
a Mosin.

Price sounds on the high side, but remember that I as well as many here bought these when they were still under $60, a price you will never see again. I once bought two 1928 Tula ex dragoons at the same time for just over a hundred bucks for the pair. I asked someone I was dealing with to find me that date for Tula and they turned up two, I couldn't choose the better one without having them in hand so I had to buy both. He pulled the same trick on me with the 1939 Tula, found one with laminated stock, another with MO marking, another with what we thought at the time was East German stamp, and another one with normal stock and no special markings. I bought the set, back when I was building my 91/30 collection by date and arsenal selling me rifles was easier than getting the circus fat lady to take chocolates.

Thanks for the info after checking out the hex's offered by Classic they seem a lot like mine. She's in good shape lets see if she shoots like my laminated round receiver tula 1939 like the idea she ex dragoon.

I'm leaning with a pre-war stock. Hard to tell though like you say.

In today's market that looks to be a very fair price. You did good!!!!

Looks like a refurb with a million little inspection marks and now thanks to Alex's book we can figure out what some of them may have meant. Range trip next I hope? Bill
