Just want you guy's thoughts on this gun. My FFL has the P95DC with two 10 round mags for $350. Is it a a good gun?

Re: Ruger p95?
Well built gun with notable reliability. It's a polymer framed offspring of the steel P-85, which was built in hopes of obtaining a government contract. So it's a little clunky for size, but made to fire in mud, sand, rain, snow, etc. Not many people report having problems with them. I have the 85 and it's a gun which I can shoot a whole box or two without feeling like I'm starting to pound my hand. Never even had a hiccup with mine.
It's about on the low to average price range.

I have a P95, if I ever had to sell off my firearms it would be the last one to go. Eats anything, and I've run pretty much everything through it from steel cased to my reloads. Accurate and reliable. Mine was $325 new about 5 years ago, prices went up once Ruger decided to stop making them. Never had a problem one with mine.

I had a KP89 DC. It was the second pistol I ever bought about 20 years ago. Wish I had never sold it. It never had an issue. And I put a lot of rounds through it. That price is about right but I'd try to snag it at $300

A buddy has one. Personally I don't like it but he loves it. That being said it has never had a issue with reliability once it was broken in.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

Re: Ruger p95?
I know a few guys who own them, and they all like them. They got them cheaper than your price. My personal opinion of them is; big, ugly, easy to maintain, and ultra reliable. I also don't like slide mounted safeties/decockers. Wouldn't be my first choice for a pistol, (I've passed up a few @ $250), but for say, a hundred bucks, I'd bite.

Re: Ruger p95?
Thanks guys! how would one of these be versus a Glock 17 Gen 4? I'm leaning towards the ruger right now because it has the decocker and can be DA/SA and is about $175 cheaper. the sell 32rd mags for it for $25.

If you reload you certainly will want the Ruger over the Glock just to get away from the brass bulges that the Glock puts into the brass.

Re: Ruger p95?
9mm, at least, has a reputation for inducing the "Glock Bulge" in the cases, as it's known by reloaders. There is even a die made for it called a "Bulge Buster", lol...

Re: Ruger p95?
Dead reliable. The 30 rd mags are junk dont waste your money. I like mine. Prefer my 1911s but there is a reason the p95 is on the nightstand with a light mounted to it.

Re: Ruger p95?
But at least the bulge Buster does fix the problem. What about lingerie? What did I miss? [emoji14]
