It depends on what very good means to you. I bought one that looked nearly new, all matching, for $150.00 about a year ago, but I considered that a fluke. I would have paid $200.00.

Sounds like a plan, but if the bore is not a sewer pipe, the $100 is pretty good.

to toss in some trivial today ,in archival Vietnam pics of which I have seen actual footage ,(havn't we all) the t53 m44 Chinese rifle was used pretty exclusively by female vietcon soldiers in the field ,against us .including the pan fed Russian Degtarev machine gun ,shootin at our aircraft .so these are an interesting rifle for the sake of the one you have may have or likely used to shoot at allied /American forces in Vietnam .just a weird feeling since its so close to our lives that darn war .anyhow no different than k98s and the like in WWII ,but I think we do not think about these t53s ,be nice to get one for posterity if anything .two crappy ones at the Flagstaff show last weekend ,did not check price ,got the m91/59 instead .

The vast majority of T-53's you see now are from Albania and other Balkan states that were sent there from China. Very few that we see have bonified Vietnam or Korea experience - only the bring-backs.

I'm thinking $99-$130 is a crap shoot. Could get a nice one but not likely.
$130-$175 for "nice" ones - good stock and nice bore. When their bores are nice, they're REALLY nice.
$175+++ for excellent, full matching version. Actually, more +'s to get one.
