Any thoughts on a good entry level (code for cheap ) trap shotgun? I had a bid in one but the price went too high...I know you can spend thousands and thousands but I dont have that plus I may just be terrible at trap and dont want to loose too much reselling the gun.

Have you looked at Yildiz? I was looking at them before I decided to spend a little more.

About $300-$350. hard to go wrong.

If you haven't shot trap before, I'd suggest using your regular bird gun the first time; you're familiar with it, and it will give you a 'control' score to judge the Topper against.

If you decide to get into Trap, and if you can go @$1000, I'd really recommend a used Browning BT-99. The best Trap gun I've ever shot, and I've shot Perazzis, Kreighoffs, even a Ljutic.

Yes, Brownings are a good choice. Without knowing your budget its a bit hard to give you some advice, but you can buy a used Browning Bt99 for 700-800 bucks if you look around. You won't lose any money on it if you decide to sell it and it's a solid trap gun.

That being said, I can't recommend enough that you find a shotgun that fits you. Length of pull is very important to shooting trap well and buying a shotgun that has a LOP that is either too long or too short will really impact your shooting, and in turn, impact your fund/desire to shoot trap.
