lazy day on the range

Post by jimpierce7 »

Not many people there this morning. Very laid back. Until some guy couldn't figure out which way to point his damn pistol! Pissed off the range master and he got himself escorted out.

Three out of four rifles were heavily modified this morning. MO triple date and my MO double date had 12 gauge wire insulation on the front sight and my M27 had a piece of Q-tip stick on it! Am I evil or what?!

Had my M44 out there too, even tried to shoot it with the bayonet closed. Not so good.

The green is gone......................

this is how high the adjustment is on the M27 to get it on target at 100 yards

M44 was ok.......

M27 sure held its own.........

But I spent a lot more time shooting off hand this time. Damn my right hand is unsteady. lol Guess that takes practice too? A few rounds with the M27, most with the M44. This was the first trip.

Sounds like you had a good day. Too bad about the guy with poor muzzle control.
Damn, I'll bet that's going to leave a mark! Probably hurt too!

You would shoot much better if your targets were right side up......... I bet the range master had a fit with you laying on your back to shoot. :?

It looked like a nice day on the range. It was gorgeous here too, but I am still recovering from the eye surgery and I won't get back to the range for a couple of weeks. It will be interesting to see how I can shoot when I can see what I am shooting at.

I look forward to hearing how you do!! It was beautiful after the marine layer (fog) burned off. Range master isn't quite sure what to think of me, standing on my head to shoot and all................ lol

For off hand shooting, at what 100 yards?

That's almost as good as a conscript.
Jolly good show! Glad to hear you're up and about!
Things could be worse. Work to keep from finding out how much worse.

having a hip I can stand on with out hurting makes an amazing difference shooting off hand. lol I'll get my right arm to steady up eventually. After about 15 minutes I started having to guess when I would swing by the target. lol
