A guy on armslist in my area posted grainy pictures of a 91/30 on armslist. I promptly responded and asked for better pictures and got more grainy pictures. [emoji1] But Im off today and his asking price and all the extras are attractive so I thought why not... heading that way in a few hours and will update once I meet him! Fingers crossed. :)

Good luck! I've had fantastic luck with grainy Armslist photos in the past. That's how I got my Tikka 91/30 for $125!!! Can't wait to see what you've found.

Well it turned out pretty good. A very nice 1943 Izhevsk which is exactly what Ive been looking for. Odd I know but 1943 has been the connection point of my connection and I dont have any wartime built Mosins. All numbers matching and shiny bore. Very nice stock. I got the rifle, a spam can, sling, several pouches, bayonet, and 2 extra complete 91/30 stocks for $150. Ill post some pics tomorrow.

You got me to thinking about the stocks and I went and looked. The stock on the rifle is a very nice wartime stock (no rear escutcheon, and a liner in the front slot). Never seen one of those... cool. The two spares, the nice one is a very nice post war stock, and the other is a beat pup wartime stock.

Lol I know. My first was a 39 Izhevsk. Then I got on this website. After an m44, a hex laminate Tula (among other 91/30s that were trade fodder), and a Finn, I am just now getting to my wartime Izhevsk. [emoji1]

You guys are a bad influence. [emoji48]

Good for you. Mosins on Armslist here are usually so ct up it pains me to see them. There was one today, a guaranteed 1000 yard shooter. $1200.00. The only thing Mosin on it was the receiver and a very modified bolt.

He's got to post at least one of the grainy photos from the seller. I'm curious what he saw that made him want to go on the trek in the first place!
