I am not normally a gambling man. But today I took a chance. I have seen many people get lucky on this board. Maybe it is my turn.
Below are some pictures of a M91 that I won today. It's very rough I know. Beat up and missing the escutcheons. Electric tape near rear band. I suspect broken barrel band. But it was marked with the SA, and it went cheap.
So lets play a game.
How much would you gamble on this? (Maybe you wouldn't)

Too bad the seller didn't include a shank shot, or maybe he included that info in his description. It's got that rode hard and put up wet look which is ok if the price is right. I prolly would of passed unless there's something really special that I can't see.
The way I value a rifle in this condition where it will cost more to make the rifle complete than it is worth, is to see what it has in good parts. Complete bolt,$50. Mag, $20. Front sight, $10. Barrel bands, $30. I would only pay $100 all in on this.
Now if it is a very desirable rifle, then that changes things and I'd be more likely to get it and pay more.
hard to say about value, without a shank shot but it is the most close to relic condition Finn ive ever seen, perhaps spent a couple years out on a battlefield compared to refurbs, that one screams History!
Several hundred, that rifle has seen the elephant! A real piece of history.

I had the same pictures you all have now. No barrel markings to go on.
I'll let this go a little longer. But so far, I paid more than any of you would have.
Maybe I'll do a reveal and give the cost when I receive the rifle.
I appreciate the answers. It's interesting to see how you all think, and evaluate this just on what is given.

You paid more than several hundred dollars? Cool, nice to know someone here appreciates a real relic of history. It will shoot at least OK, I never saw a SA marked rifle that wouldn't at least do that.

Opps. Forgot your "several hundred" was out there. I do appreciate history, though I seem to forget most of it soon after I learn it.
I paid...........you'll just have to wait and see.
That's the type of rifle I like, but I know the missing hand guard alone is a $100 missing part.. I would probably bid up to $150'ish.. Keep in mind I just won a 1915 m91 for $190 shipped and it's complete (although possibly refinished)..
