How can you overpay for something you really want. Not mention there are only 29 more.................maybe. You did good MT. That rear sight reminds me of the ones found on Arisaka last ditch rifles.

:vcool: I smell a show-case submission in the near future! Very cool rifle. I wonder with the single shot trainer why they didn't just have the magazine in it and seal that off to only hold one round. Seems like that would have been easier to modify than the extra base plate, trigger area, stock modifications. Plus if it looked and behaved more like the real thing, you'd think that would be a better practice platform for them..

Never mind it pays to read the whole thing. :devil2:

I'm not sure I understand the point to this rifle. I get the .22 trainers for guys who have never held a full power rifle before.. But now your using a full load, why not use the real deal ?? Also why build it in 1952 well after mosin production stopped in Russia for 5 years and the rifles were being replaced on front line by semi autos (except for snipers)???

So many questions, I love these odd balls !!!

Its only money, they are printing it around the clock.

That is a unique rifle, this will be showcase material when you get it.

I never bought a firearm in my life as an investment, if I wanted something I went after it and didn't give a rats ass if anybody thought I overpaid. Nice rifle :vcool: :vcool:

Thanks everyone, the overpaid part was a bit " tongue in cheek" as I thought this one would go to 4 figures and price me out.

The single shot converted Japanese Mosin was a rare and unusual variation but this one takes the prize. It will definitely be 4 figures by the next time this one is sold! And many years from now. :P

A real "just a boring mismatched overpriced refurb" gem you got there. It wasn't fancy enough for me to bid on. :chuckles: That's one hell of gem. Congrats. :Drool1:

Nice one MT. I saw a Pole about a month ago but it didn't go that high I don't think. I bid on it but got higher than I wanted to pay. So when I saw this one, I passed it buy. Matter of fact, since I habit of checking out who I am bidding against, I did check to see who was bidding. Saw you were involved so I bailed out. Good enough excuse for me
