1943 M44 Value

Post by B24 »

I know it's a rare bird, what is it worth? I haven't held it, I
only saw the pics but it is a good looking carbine. It would
look very good next to my 1948 M44.

Thanks for any input.........Gregg

Well, some of these boys are paying $250 for a regular date M44, I would think another $100 on top of that wouldn't be too far off, but these could be worth more now.

If it was very good condition, as in, didn't need to be refurb'ed then I would pay $250 but I'd likely go to $300 ott. I need a 1948.

If I needed the 1943 to finish the collection price would not, within reason, be a factor. It took me 5 years or better to get all 6 years, (43 to 48), of the Izhevsk models. Late last year a member here sold me the hard to find Tula 1944 M44. Not a Molot in the bunch.

Soviet Mosins were produced in the millions, the 1943 M44 was a 50,000 short trial run, any opportunity to grab one should not be passed up even if you have one.
