Identification confirmation and value

Post by Mapko »

Hello All, I am new to the forum. I am trying to get confirmation and a value range for a rifle I previously purchased. I belive it's a 1922 Izhevsk Dragoon version of the model 1891. As far as I can tell all the parts are matching (I know for sure the barrel and bolt match and i dont remember seeing any non matching parts) with a hex receiver. I have attached the photos I have on my phone but let me know if there is so.ething else you need.

Thanks

It is an ex dragoon updated to 91/30 specs. It is also refurbished. The parts would have been renumbered to match the barrel serial number at that time. It looks like a nice example.

Thanks for the info. Based on the info would it be reasonable for it to be worth $400-500ish?

That sounds reasonable. The older hex receivers are more desirable, I would say.

Your rifle was also built using an older recycled Imperial era receiver. You can see an imperial eagle under the Izhevsk crest on the top receiver flat. That was pretty common in the early 20's
