Old West gear, post Civil War, pre 1920s? I am most interested in holsters.

Vintage, or style? Vintage Idk, but style, look into the cowboy action shooting gear.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

The reason I was asking is I bought a cheap holster on eBay. It came yesterday. The leather was in really good condition, soft and supple. The stitching was shot, the thread rotten. I restitched the thing, applied some leather conditioner and it is now a nice holster. It is a perfect fit for a 1917 style revolver. I am trying to figure out if this is a late 1800s or early 1900s holster or something else. I believe that it was hand made and was certainly hand stamped on the belt loop. (shown with S&W 1917)
