Nut Cracker Tree......

Post by ffuries »

One of our granddaughters (7 years old) has a collection of Nutcracker's. CINC Household wanted to make a tree for them to sit on. So we brainstormed and tossed around a few ideas and this is the final result.

Three tiers (different sizes) made from round wooden disks (Unfinished table tops or whatever they are from Lowes), wooden post cut down to length as needed. Hole drilled into the post ends and through the shelves, treaded rod inserted and tightened down, so there is no shelf wobble.

Shelf edges and pole/post trimmed in garland, with that dang glitter covered fake snow cloth on the top of the shelves, finished off with icicle lights, and topped with a snow man top hat. Then drowned in half of the granddaughters Nutcracker collection, and viola we had "Nutcracker Tree".

Something different than a conventional Christmas tree.

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
