Howdy y’all!
I’ve been a long time lurker here, and joined several months ago hoping to be here pretty often and share some of my collection with you all. However with work and life, I kinda forgot my membership here. Fast forward to last week, I’m laid up at home due to an injury so I’ve got lots of spare time in my hands!
So here is one of my favorites:
It’s a 1941 Izhevsk captured by the Finns. However what makes this extra special is that it’s original matching, and has the unusual screwed in escutcheon on the front and the simple cutout in the rear. It has been sanded, but not too terribly as the remnants of the cartouche are visible. Someone has carved their initials on the stock MV or AW depending how you look at it. It has the rough wartime finish on the receiver, though not as rough as 1942. Anyways hopefully y’all enjoy my first submission and I hope to a more regular member from now on. By the way I really like the 2000’s style emoticons and theme of the website!

Re: 1941 Finn Capture Izhevsk
Welcome to the board, nice Finn continuation war capture.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
