It's a refurbished1943 Izhevsk 91/30. It looks like a nice solid example. Although not rare or uncommon.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Nice one!  I have two wartime 91/30's including a 1943 Izhevsk very similar to yours. The rifles from that era shows how desperate they were to crank them out as fast as possible. There was no thought of applying a nicely blued and polished finish. All the receivers were rough, but the barrels were good. My '43 is a refurb as well; one of my best shooters.

Along with the 1942 Izhevsk the1943 dated rifles are very common. You do have a nice rifle wartime rifle with a good looking stock! I never get tired of seeing these, thank you for sharing!

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.
