Install a bayonet lug on an M44

I am amazed that any two Mosins are in any way the same exactly. But I'm used to the snipers more. Those damn scope mounts are individually installed, drilled and tapped. Hard to find two the same. Maybe the M44's used a Jig or a special machine.

I have just replaced rear sight base and front bayonet lug on my M44, had to adjust in both places. Front has two pins, rear aligned perfectly, front pin did not. So think different makes maybe slightly off.
