1932 VKT M27

Post by HexEx »

Greetings all,

It's been a long time since I've posted anything, so as the year winds down, I thought I'd share my best find for 2021. I picked up this 1932 VKT M27 at a gun show early this year. I passed on it at first glance because I didn't feel the condition justified the price. It didn't register in my brain that I was looking at a VKT! After walking around the gun show for another hour or so, I went back to his table and looked it over again. As soon as I saw that it was a VKT, I quickly snatched it up! I was bummed that the unit disc was gone, but the unusual Finnish sling and dog collars was a good bonus. I believe the receiver is a 1900 or 1901 Izhevsk. There are some assembly numbers on the tang and barrel shank along with a bunch of other markings. It still has it's original winged bolt connector. It also has the very nice two stage trigger that M27s are known for. There are also a couple of interesting stock markings just forward of the trigger guard. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this uncommon Finnish Mosin! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.
