As well as the Remington I also picked this up at the weekend, from the same gentleman as the Remington........
She's a 1941 Izhevsk 91/30, captured by the Finns in the Continuation War judging by the small "41" stamp on the barrel shank and SA marked.
Fitted with a very nice pot belly stock with the crossed cannons cartouche on the butt, with a faint letter Z inside the circle and the brass tipped handguard is a nice touch. The bolt body matches the barrel shank but the rest is mis-matched and the bolt assembly is a mix of Remington, pre-'26 Izhevsk and later Izhevsk components.
The stock is beautiful and I really need to take some photos that do it justice and in my humble opinion she can't be far off as good as 91/30's get.The chamber and bore appear to be excellent although she is counter-bored.Hopefully she'll shoot as good as she looks. The sling is a nice SA-stamped example.

Nice one.
“Freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” George Orwell, English novelist, essayist, and critic, 1903-1950
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
C. S. Lewis

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
