Sierra 303 cal. 150 grain bullet

Well I came across a box of Sierra Pro Hunter in 303 caliber, 150 grain Spitzer bullets.
I’ve never used these before in my 91/30.
Anyone have any firsthand experience with these?

I have never had much luck with Sierra bullets in the Mosin Nagant M91/30. A couple of my rifles really like the Hornady .312 diameter 174 Grain round nose (#3130). I have also used the Hornady #3131 174 Grain FMJ bullets with good result in both Mosin Nagants and 7.7x58 Jap Arisaka.

I've found the same with Sierra 174gr bullets in my Mosins and the Dragunov, my best results for accuracy has been with PPU .311" 150gr SPBT.....they call them a boat tail but it is very short compared to other boat tail bullets and not far off a flat base.

I've worked up a load using Ramshot Big Game powder that pretty much matches the trajectory of Russian 54r milsurp so the BDC turret settings on the PU and PSO-1 scopes I use are pretty much bang on at different ranges but with the benefit of better accuracy and consistency.

Yesterday I shot some of the 303 Sierra Spitzer at 25 yards got 1 1/2” groups. 5 round firing
, 3 separate times. Strong accuracy.
