New Finnish Collection - Restarted February 2017

Post by LottaMosins »

Since I haven't posted most of this on here, I figured I'd share the new Finnish collection. I'll post a couple pics of each and put a link to the rest of the pics. After selling it all last year after my wife passed, I must say I am thrilled to get back into the hobby and I'm looking forward to the months and years ahead, hopefully adding odd/rare gems along the way! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Wow that's a reboot? Great Job. Only the second a Civil Guard district marked 91/24 bayonet I have seen. I own the other one. Yours is in nicer condition. Is there a maker mark on the scabbard? What manufacturer made the bayonet.

I'm believe the story that the Finns sharpened the rattails to a point is just that a story.

Thanks!

The only mark on the frog that I could find was a very faint stamp that used to be the circle/triangle/S.Y. mark. Otherwise the leather is worn enough that you can't see anything else. The bayonet is a Westinghouse.

Mine has what I think are the same markings but is also worn and is also a NEW. Only difference is I also have 2 crossed out guard districts in addition to the 3rd not crossed out one. I have a post on the forum somewhere about it. Thank you for sharing.

When starting over with a pre-learned education it's amazing what you can pass up to get what you really want. Nice. Real nice
