Irish contract No 4 Mk2

Post by Cj556 »

Picked this up up this spring at a gun show for $220. All matching not mint like the unissued guns but serial puts it within the Irish contract. My current favorite No 4.

$220 that is a great price for a fine looking rifle. It doesn't make sense to me why Enfields have fallen in price so much. I would rather pay $320 for a No4 than $320 for a Yugo Mauser anyday. They are more accurate, made better, look better, and ammo availability and price are about the same. Want to make a quick $100 profit lol?

Enfields seem to be bringing 300-400ish for decent Brit/Aussie/Canuck/Savage examples. I dont blame you for wanting to buy but this one is a keeper.

Even Savage No4s are sitting unsold at $400 shipped. It's more like $300-350 now. $220 was a great deal. If you change your mind... Who am I kidding you're keeping it.

Wow! I sold an unfired Irish contract with mismatched mag for $900 at the Calgary show this Spring. No. 4's bring good money here in Canada.

The minty No 4 mkiis bring good money here. Out of curiousty what does a Garand or an 03 bring there? I know Enfields on average bring more up there.

The most I ever paid for any Enfield was around $250 for the new in the wrap No4 MKII, the rest were under $150, many under $100, a few under $50. Just don't ask me how long ago that was :) Nice MKII

My guess is before I was of legal age to purchase a firearm.

Not sure about '03 prices, but most Garands are around $1000-1500. Lee Enfields are creeping up. All models.

I agree about the Garand pricing, but Enfields I see just the opposite. If anything they are dropping in price.
