*sing* Home.... home on the range..........
I gotta say, it was a wonderful morning. It has been long enough that I could tell the difference in kick between each rifle, the new 91/30 having the most "feel" to it. Something about the butt on that one, I really gotta lock it into the shoulder so it doesn't become uncomfortable. Even more so than the M44.
Amazing how fast the green goes away on the hills. Critters were all over the place too!! Turkeys, pig and deer!
The newish 91/30 looks to be a good shooter, I will finish dialing it in next time out. The first five were a little discouraging. lol All over the place!! Including one on the M39 target. ooops. It was low and to the right. Then it was low and to the left. Then it was low and just a tad left.
M39, of course was spot on. Though I did get a bit wild with it. For a minute.
I neglected to get photos of the M91 and M44 targets. And shame on my, I left them behind on the stand when I left!! The steel target took too long to get down and I totally forgot my paper until I was on my way home.
The M44 and '40 M91 VKT were both spot on. It was a good morning on the range............
Interesting the difference in impact on the steel caliber to caliber.
used the big target for the 91/30, the four on the right side were the first five. hehehe Fifth was lower even
The other groups were pretty tight!!
and the M39, upper right corner was the fifth from the 91/30

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

You are losing your green and we are just starting to get it. But, it doesn't die off like in California. Lush and green all summer
Full moon probably why the critters were out and about...
Nice job again

Hey Jim I made it to the range today too, but alas we only shot pistols. I still got my therapy anyway.

I'm going to the range tomorrow. After stopping and paying my respects at the cemetery.

there has been so much rain here I sank up to my knees trying to put up a target, trying the high ground on the side still got boughed. Practice is sight acquisition and squeeze, so I aimed at wild flowers and still blew off a box and felt so much better

Don't have to worry about getting muddy here. Temperatures are in the low 110s here.locomotiveguy wrote:there has been so much rain here I sank up to my knees trying to put up a target, trying the high ground on the side still got boughed.
