Another refurb

Post by FR0STY54R »

I've noticed Mosins have pretty much dried up in my area, but I did come upon this 1939 Tula that I had to have.

She has both the concentric circle accuracy proof and the circle k point of aim proof mark.

She is stamped matching and strangely enough, each serial number is stamped in a different font.

Here she is with my other laminates

One of which happens to be a 1940 Tula. I'm that much closer to completing my collection by consecutive year lol

Is there any laminate stocks without wristbolts? Was that done at the time of manufacture? I'm afraid I might have to wristbolt a M-39 I just got. I got it glued and clamped , need to go bang it a few times, see if it holds.......Is a quarter inch about right, and is a hex head bolt or carriage bolt, what's the best? Anybody got a favorite method?.....SBP.....69MN's

Thanks man, I really like the laminate stocks too, the white crayon really makes those crisp markings pop too [emoji106]

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
