2) Take your time and spend a lot of time searching what is out there.
But if you want it right now, You have to pay the going price and take what is available right now.
I spent months searching for these rifles. There is another way, and that is to keep trading up. I suppose that works also, but seeing I have never sold a rifle I have ever owned (Too attached) That don't work for me!
My vote is yes, of course. Dolk is going to have to come out of that back room...or head back into it actually, and write up the text for these pieces. They truly need to be in the showcase!
This is not my "best" stripped M39 but, it is the only one I see as "harder to find" because it is PL marked also. That PL mark makes it interesting to me. The stripes, well that is a bonus for me.
Some time I will work on it maybe, but not a lot of "extra time".
That is one fine M39! You have a good search technique, I find I "make my luck" by being continuesly on the search, and as you mention have the cash ready to go. One of my partners at work wants a Tula 91/30 as a representation for his WWII collection. Yet he is not willing to stop and take the troubles to ask at our local places, hence, I have mustered out 4 Tulas (3 are mine, 1 is my youngest sons) in just my first week of even trying, given the numbers of Mosins I have seen Tulas appear to be getting more scarce, but not impossible to locate. Finns are the same way, but add in the internet and most anything can be found, just costs a little more.
My buddy may have to go to the net now, or beat me to the next Big "R" and Big 5 shipments!
