That's a decent price even if it is a refurb. People pay a lot for Izhevsk SKS'.

Sounds like a great price to me. Up around here, a Russian SKS goes for around $450 - 500. The guy I bought my SKS from had a minty Izhevsk SKS for $650 and it sold really quick.

If it is truly a non refurb (original blued finish and not the cerakote looking black) ,the stock is solid and not a laminate, numbers match, and is an Izhevsk , buy it now...

Let me start by saying that I did pick up the the Izhevsk When I looked the gun over I found that the top cover serial number did not match the rest of the gun. Bummed out to the max I told him that I was not willing to pay $400.00 for a non matching weapon. So we talked and he agreed to a trade. I traded my 1916 Izhevsk and the 1947 Izhevsk X sniper, I had $240.00 in the two of them. Needless to say I brought the sks home. It has a serial number that starts with Br. Every piece of the gun Matches but the cover, will post some pics tomorrow after I shoot and clean it.
