Range Time with the No 4 Mk 1/2

Post by tjtM38 »

My wife sleeps in on Sunday, so I took the No 4 Mk 1/2 to the range and had good results with my handload at 200 yards on the steel target. Had a blast early on Mothers Day.

Dadgum tj, now that's the way to do it! Tell me bout your handloads? I am planning on some benchtime this afternoon and was planning to load some 54R, but maybe I will switch to 303 instead. You got me wanting to shoot my No 4. :P

The No4's and No3's are among my favorite C&R's to shoot. Love that socket-style rear buttstock design- CAN'T split 'em...no worries!!

At the gun shop today we bought 4 Enfield #4s today along with an Arisaka type 99 and a 1941 VKT M39. You know where the M39 went. Pictures tomorrow. I had better examples of the Enfields in my collection or a couple of those would have made home with me too.

Chuck, looking forward to seeing your M39. I wish I could find one around here. The #4 Mk 1/2 is my favorite shooter. I finally got a chance to shoot my new to me Lithgow No 1 Mk III today. It shot well, but I can see the sights so much better on the #4.
