NO I just did a tour of distributors and there are both available for just over 200 bucks. The highest I have seen was still under 300. I haven't checked century yet but I saw 3 places that have these in stock. :big shock:

I bought this one last year for $250.00, new, unissued or refurbed to new. And this is California, the land of high priced/overpriced guns.

Paul, it's only a great price if I find one for fifty bucks and then sell it to you for five fifty. :) $550 will be a great price for it in 2020.
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Paid $245 for mine ........ 6 years ago. :b sad: Yep my 3rd Milsurp and I got poked. Wasn't the last time since then and probably will happen again someday but I sure hope not. :o It's like new and all but at least it's almost worth what I paid for it. Not that it matters since I won't be selling it. I thought about trying to trade it for a MN but decided to keep it and it has a friend in the safe, a Turk Mauser so I can't let it be lonely. :bwink:

One of the retailers is selling them for under $300. Don't remember which one, I think J&G, Wideners, SOG or Samco. I bet if you're patient you could get one on GB for close to $200.

You can buy them all day at Wideners for 269.00. They are the all milled M48s with no stamped parts. I bought mine there and am very pleased.

Those are gunsmith specials now. https://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm ... 0|701|1029

GRADE: The rifles are in fair condition. Most of the blue is off the ends. The stocks are in fair condition and they have small cracks in them that should not affect the ablity to shoot the rifle. They all shoot great and the bores look good with no rust or pitting. They do not have matching serial nubmers.

Gunsmith Specials SOLD IN AS IS CONDITION NO RETURNS!

Yeah I think that's recent. They've had these for sale for a few years actually. I bought one from this same listing about two years ago.
