Another Finn in the family
It's a 1931 Tikka M27 in very fine condition with perfect mirror bore, crisp & light Finn trigger (Nicest one I've ever felt) nice deep blue & excellent stock. Haven't taken it apart yet but that will have to wait a bit. previous owner stated he could get Quarter sized groupings at 100yds with Surplus ammo... I can't wait to test that out at the range.
I have an M39, some Finn capture 91/30s' & Dragoon, a Tikka 91/30 & Finn M91 already... I have been impressed with the quality of these pieces but none of them are near as nice as this M27. I now see why so many of you praise these so much. 8)
A few photos of this fine Finn...

It is nice... But someone refinished it at one point. I'm not going to argue for the price though.desdem12 wrote:Love the M27 that one has a nice stock.

If they refinished it, they must have been gentle with it. Doesn't look like they got carried away and the expected dings are not ruined. I think it looks awesome.

One of the reasons I got it. It wasn't a bad refinish & the price was right coming in under $300.bunkysdad wrote:If they refinished it, they must have been gentle with it. Doesn't look like they got carried away and the expected dings are not ruined. I think it looks awesome.

Are you sure it is not a Finn refurb?

Re: Another Finn in the family
Have you found shims in the stock on all of your Finns? just wondering if they shimmed them the way they did on the M39's?
Re: Another Finn in the family
Do you have a idea what type of finish is on the furniture?
No words of wisdom come to mind at this time....

It looks like a low gloss poly... Not a bad job, but not that typical Finnish oil stock.martin08 wrote:Do you have a idea what type of finish is on the furniture?
I'll pull it out & look it over again.
