both are all original,p38 is a byf43 and the ithaca is a goverment issue made in 43 also. i shoot both from time to time.

it must have because it will out shoot the p38. the p38 was bought from a ww2 vet about 20 years ago but he could not find the papers for it from when he came back home from germany.

I have the 1913/1911 already and have been looking at the P-38's but a Mosin or Mauser usually gets in the way.

Both are really nice pistols world war military pistols are great, I bet the 1911 out shoots the P38. Did you get the holster with the P38?
